Why are we so quiet?

Because we're in the thick of really working this through, and it will be a MAJOR undertaking for all.  So we're still here, the march is still a "go," and I cannot wait 'til we can offer details and all the "wheres and whens."  We love you MORE for being so loyal to us and most of all, to Mike's memory and legacy.  We're gonna party hearty in June, and I hope you will ALL be there with us, world wide!

It'll look like we've left you for a short while, but that's because we're going to get the plan together and then come back with an announcement that will knock your socks off!  So watch the boards...pray, and know that Mike is with us on this in ways I never dreamt of 'til last night.  Bless you all...and we'll be BACK!

Where we are so far--and fan club news!

Keep those questions and comments coming--it helps us think things through.  I'm slowing down a little bit today, because the fan club really does like the idea and that MAY mean that we'll have much more information and organization, including contact with the family.  I love what was said about Forest Lawn, and agree that if the family needs privacy, we should respect that.  But I think the march was meant to be late in the evening, a candle light walk, which might keep us away long enough for all the family visits to be over.

For now, Angel's on the case, and doing a remarkable job.  If the fan club (which is also hooked up with ALL the fan clubs worldwide) joins in with us, we'll really be solidly underway.  We'll have to meet, all of us who wish to be involved in planning up close and personal, and to decide how to divide the various tasks, all that.

I'm deeply moved that we all feel strongly that this should happen and that people are doing so much deep thinking about it!  It's beautiful, and I know Mike will be proud of us when we finally come together on that amazing day.

So...we're just beginning and we have asked lots of people to join us, which means it'll be awhile before we know exactly what, where and when.  But it's wonderful to feel the energy behind it.  I am absolutely giddy with excitement!

If you've got a celeb following you on Twitter or otherwise have "connects," let's ponder seeking sponsors by networking. I am not against having someone with real money and connections take this on with of for us, but if you are...speak on, sistah/brotha', so we can weigh this step. We want someone who really "feels" us and hasn't done MJ any harm in the past, of course!

Think about who has organized something of this size or might be willing to help us do same based on what you know about him or her? Can you do a direct Tweet? Do you have other connects? I have some ideas...but I want to hear from you, too!

This is a blog for those of us who feel a "Michael Jackson Million Fan March" should be organized somehow. This first post is just to let everyone check in and offer ideas. Then...we'll move on to time, place and date suggestions, along with contacts, duties we're all willing to take on, etc. For now, just say you're here!
